Track Weekend Team Leader

I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the team's performance during track weekend. I lead the team of engineers and mechanics, keeping high morale and clear communication and whilst collaborating with my engineers and strategists, I developed race strategies, optimised pit stops, tyre choices, and fuel management. I also coordinated logistics, vehicle preparation, equipment setup, compliance with event regulations, compliance with safety standards, and vehicle checks. When issues arose, I made critical decisions which minimised downtime and maintain performance. Post-race, I lead analysis sessions, debriefing with the team to review data, refined strategies, and improved for the future.

The Car

The FR93 Swift Formula Renault is a classic single-seater from 1993, and was built for aspiring racers in the competitive Formula Renault series. Powered by a 1.8L Renault engine producing around 140hp, it has a lightweight composite chassis and pushrod suspension. It was known for its simplicity, balance, and affordability, the FR93 played a key role in developing future racing stars.
